We’re hiring a Marketing & Festival Coordinator!
Are you interested in event planning? Do you have an appreciation for Celtic culture? Be a part of one of Fredericton’s longest running and most popular festivals.
The New Brunswick Highland Games Festival is a volunteer-driven festival that has been held since 1981 and its purpose is to promote and celebrate Scottish and Celtic culture. Our Festival attracts visitors from all over the world. We are currently looking for a summer student to join our dedicated team who is able to work with a committed group of volunteers in planning and executing the 42nd edition of our Festival.
You must be extremely organized; have office experience; fluent with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; some marketing or event planning experience; able to work some evenings and weekends (including all of July 22nd-July 29th); an interest in Celtic culture is a major plus; and you must be able to work independently and meet deadlines. Bilingualism is considered an asset.
This position will be funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program so the candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Between 15 and 30 years of age.
- Be eligible to work in Canada (must have a valid SIN number. International students are not eligible).
