New Brunswick Highland Games Festival – Admission & Refund Policy

Effective Date: February 23, 2026

1. Definitions

For the purposes of this policy, “Festival” means New Brunswick Highland Games Festival Inc., the incorporated not-for-profit organization operating the New Brunswick Highland Games Festival.

2. Ticket Types & What They Include

General Day Admission (“Day Ticket”)

  • Includes access to daytime Festival programming held at Government House on the date specified on the ticket.
  • Does not include access to offsite entertainment at Officers’ Square.
  • Does not include separately ticketed experiences (e.g., Whisky Tasting Workshop).

General Evening Admission (“Night Ticket”)

  • Includes access to evening Festival programming held at Officers’ Square on the date specified on the ticket.
  • Does not include access to daytime programming at Government House.

Weekend Pass

  • Includes access to daytime Festival programming at Government House for the full Festival weekend.
  • Includes access to offsite entertainment at Officers’ Square.
  • Does not include separately ticketed experiences (e.g., Whisky Tasting Workshop).

Officers’ Square Pass

  • Includes access only to offsite entertainment programming at Officers’ Square.
  • Does not include access to daytime programming at Government House.
  • Does not include separately ticketed experiences.

3. Competitors, Clans & Vendors

  • Access to the Games grounds (at Government House) is included with approved individual or organizational registration, provided the individual is listed on the official registration list supplied to the Festival admissions/gates team.
  • Registered competitors, vendors, or Clans will receive access credentials prior to the Festival.
  • Registration does not include access to offsite entertainment at Officers’ Square unless separately purchased.
  • Registration does not include admission for parents, guardians, or other family members of competitors.

4. Animals

No animals are permitted on site, except service animals as defined under applicable accessibility legislation.

5. General Ticket Sales & Acknowledgment

By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Tickets are sold on a final sale basis.
  • Tickets grant access only to the specific programming and locations described for the ticket type purchased.
  • No refunds or exchanges will be provided for change of plans, weather conditions, scheduling conflicts, or inability to attend.
  • The Festival’s refund policy governs; ticket platforms (e.g. Ticketpro) act solely as ticketing agents and do not independently guarantee refunds.

6. Event Cancellation / Significant Disruption

If the Festival is cancelled in its entirety due to circumstances beyond the Festival’s reasonable control (including but not limited to severe weather, force majeure events, government orders, or public safety concerns), ticket holders may be eligible for a refund of the ticket price only, subject to the Festival’s determination.

Service, processing, or platform fees may not be refundable unless required by applicable law or the ticket platform’s terms.

7. Partial Cancellation / Modifications

If only part of the Festival, a particular venue, performance, activity, or performer is cancelled, delayed, relocated, or modified:

  • No refund is guaranteed.
  • Any partial refund or credit remains at the Festival’s reasonable discretion, acting in good faith.
  • Access to one venue does not guarantee access to all venues unless expressly included in the ticket type purchased.

8. Communication

Updates regarding cancellations, changes, or refund procedures will be communicated via the Festival’s official website and social media channels.
