Cancellation of the 2020 Games

The New Brunswick Highland Games Festival planning committee has been working very hard to prepare for a successful 39th Anniversary event, scheduled to happen July 24-26, 2020.

The health and well-being of all who attend our annual festival is our top priority.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the 39th annual Festival.

We are deeply disheartened to have to make this difficult decision, but it is the only responsible action to take given the ongoing situation with Covid-19.

In the interim, we will be taking this time to put our full efforts behind planning and creating a spectacular 40th Anniversary event in 2021. Mark your calendars, as we will once again be reunited for a bigger and better festival July 23-25, 2021.

We are also looking at the idea of hosting online individual piping and drumming competitions during the coming year. If the circumstances allow, we may also look at the hosting or co-hosting other events in 2020 and 2021 that will allow us to promote and celebrate Scottish and Celtic culture. Stay tuned for more details.

Thank you for your support of the games and we look forward to seeing everyone for #NBHighlandGames40 in 2021!

Stay safe and healthy.
