Primary, Beginner & Novice registration begins at 9:00 am and dancing begins at 9:30 am. Intermediate and Premier registration begins at 12:00 pm and dancing begins at 12:30 pm. All groups will be split.

Prizes
Medals will be awarded in all classes except for the oldest class in Premier. Prize money will be awarded per dance for the oldest Premier class as follows:
First: $30.00
Second: $20.00
Third: $10.00
Fourth to Sixth: Medals
Aggregate trophies will be awarded to all classes except Primary.

Rev. Ivan C. Murray Memorial for Saturday Dancer of the Day (4 step Fling dance off)
Kate Gaddess Memorial for Sunday Dancer of the Day (4 step Village Maid dance off).
New Brunswick Premier Dancer of the Day - Saturday

Rules
All events are run according to SOBHD rules and regulations.
Fees
$5.00 per dance plus $5.00 NB ScotDance Fee
$5.00 per dancer for Choreography Team
Entries
Must be postmarked no later than July 17th, 2009. Entries postmarked between July 18th and July 22nd, 2009, will be accepted with a late fee of $10.00. Entries postmarked after in the same categories on both days. Age will be as of July 25th, 2009. July 22nd, 2009, will NOT be accepted. No refunds will be given. Dancers must compete
Age categories will be determined by number of entries. Maximum 125 dancers. Last to enter, first to dance. Absolutely no field entries.
Judging
In accordance with SOBHD Rules; Judges decision is final. No access to Judges sheets will be allowed. In the event of a protest, a $25 non-refundable fee must accompany a written notification within 7 days after the competition.

The New Brunswick Highland Games Committee takes no responsibility for injuries, accidents or lost articles to competitors or spectators.
Other
Dancers must show SOBHD registration cards in order to compete. Dancers must fill in for reels if requested and report to the dance area when class is called or risk disqualification. . Competitors must be in uniform to receive awards. No sneakers allowed.
East Coast Choreography Challenge
East Coast Choreography Challenge (Premier Dancers)
Sunday, July 26th, 1:00 pm
Choreography Rules for Team
- Premier Dancers.
- Group of three or more dancers.
- Time limit: 4 minutes
- Props allowed
- Must be Scottish theme, music or costume.
- $5.00 per dancer
- Ties will be broken
- Dancer must be registered with SDC
Choreography Team Prizes
First: $300.00
Second: $200.00
Third: $100.00
Please note, in choreographed competitions:
- If only 3 groups enter, then 2 prizes will be awarded.
- If only 2 groups enter, then 1 prize will be awarded.
